The 6 Products You Need to Fight Dry Skin

The 6 Products You Need to Fight Dry Skin | CaitlinCosmetologist

Hey, friends!  Is it just me or is January going by so quickly?  Although the days are going by fast, the cold, dry weather is sticking around for awhile.  So, I thought I would share the products I have been using to keep my skin moisturized and fight dry skin.

Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion

Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer

I cannot say that one is better than the other. The biggest difference between these is the application. The Nivea is applied after cleansing and rinsed where as the Jergens is applied after your shower and patted dry. The Nivea leaves residue in the shower which can cause someone to slip if not cleaned properly but the Jergens costs a little more.

Both save time in my morning routine, which is a major win!

Simple Replenishing Lotion | CaitlinCosmetologist

Simple Skincare Replenishing Rich Moisturizer

I started using this again for a few reasons: I remember it working well when I used it before, my skin is always sensitive and even more so in the winter and I thought the 12 hour moisture would really help my face during my long days.

(Although I normally use body and face lotion year round, these are specific ones I have been using, and like, to help my skin this time of year when everything feels so dry.)

Vaseline Lip Therapy | CaitlinCosmetologist

Vaseline Lip Therapy

I like to use this before bed but it could be used during the day. I was really unsure how Vaseline would feel on my lips but this treatment actually feels nice and definitely makes my lips soft. Apparently, I prefer cocoa butter scents. 😉

Avon Silicone Glove | CaitlinCosmetologist

Avon Silicone Glove Protective Hand Cream

My mom introduced this to me years ago and purchased some earlier this year.  I have this smaller tube next to my bed and the bigger version in my drawer at work.  It really does feel like it is protecting my hands.  I use this throughout the day and sometimes before bed.

Gelish Mini Cuticle Oil | CaitlinCosmetologist

Gelish Nourish Cuticle Oil

To be honest, I do not use cuticle oil as much as I would like but it is good stuff!  When I do use it, I massage it into my cuticles for a little extra pampering.

There are many great brands, Gelish is just the one I picked up at the beauty supply and have been using lately. Of course, I cannot find where its available for sale now so I tagged a trusted brand and retailer down below.
