Bronzer Collection

Earlier this year I was on a bronzer kick. I wanted to find the best one. But after 2 new bronzers, I realized it was silly to add any more to my collection because they last a long time and I don’t actually need that many. I wouldn’t call myself bronzer obsessed. I like using it but lately, if I don’t have time while getting ready, I skip it. But as I’m sure any makeup lover can say- I like to try new products even if I don’t need them!

(Products are shown clockwise, starting top left.)

Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer (Ticket to Brazil): One of the newest in my collection. There is a lighter shade but it looks like a regular powder to me. Even though I wasn’t sure about the shimmer and the warm tone I thought this was the better option. But, the shimmer is very subtle and I do like the color. It blends well and there’s a ton of product in the pan. The best part? It’s under $5!

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer (Light): The hype is real with this one! Butter Bronzer has been all over the beauty world and for good reason. It’s soft and smooth so it blends very well. And it smells fantastic-like a day at the beach! Being Physician’s Formula means it’s made without bad ingredients like sulfates and phthalates.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer (Chocolate): When I buy this again I’ll buy Milk Chocolate instead of the medium shade because I don’t keep my tan up like I used to. But Chocolate came in a little Too Faced set. It smells like real chocolate and is matte, so really how can you go wrong?

NYX Matte Bronzer (Medium): I used only this matte bronzer for a while.  It’s a little warmer than some others but it’s good! I love NYX products so it’s a must in my collection.

Hoola Matte Bronzer: This is another new addition. I hear a lot of good things about this bronzer so I figured if I was going to find the best bronzer I had to try it.  I purchased the mini to save myself a little money. There is a lite version of this but I actually think the original looks nice on me. It’s a matte finish with more of a neutral tone.

[Pin me!]Sharing my bronzer collection. My list includes drugstore and prestige products from Wet n Wild, Physicians Formula, Too Faced, NYX and Benefit (Hoola).

As you may notice, I prefer matte bronzers. But the one I’ve been keeping in my makeup bag for a couple of months now is the Wet n Wild with shimmer. All of these bronzers are easy to work with and look good on the skin. I don’t really contour but like to warm up my complexion in a 3 shape (along the hairline, under the cheekbone, and jawline). When I’m not self tanned, I also use bronzer down the sides of my neck and collarbone to blend my foundation. I explain that more here. Summer may be coming to an end but I’m a bronzer-all-year-round kind of gal. In fact, I’ll probably reach for it more during the winter when my skin doesn’t see the sun. I’m sure it won’t be too long until the newest 2 hit pan. 🙂

If you follow me on Instagram you know I haven’t been online much the last 5 days because I’ve been dealing with transferring everything over to a new phone. I was able to get my contacts, pictures, and apps so after days of dealing with it I decided that would have to be sufficient. I know it’s just a phone but as a blogger who’s not home much during the week, I use it quite a bit.

So, while not having access to my apps during the day and spending my free time trying to figure out my phone I ignored my social media accounts and didn’t publish a blog post early in the week.  But, I did still spend time with my family, my boyfriend, and his parents and unintentionally unplugged so I’m gonna call the experience a win!  I’m happy to get a quick blog post up this week and be back on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!  Do you have a new phone nightmare story? Or even better- any tips to make it go more smoothly next time?

Have you tried any of these bronzers?
