CoverGirl So Lashy! Mascara Review + Demo

As a CoverGirl Insiders Member, I was sent CoverGirl’s newest product, So Lashy! Mascara.

If you have been following me for awhile, you know I have a holy grail mascara and I have yet to find another mascara that compares. But I have always liked CoverGirl and was intrigued by this brush, so I decided to give it a try.

Lets get up close and personal so you can see my eyelashes. I like to start my makeup before I am dressed and before my hair is done.

In CoverGirl’s words:

“CoverGirl believes mascara should work the same on everyone, which is why we created new So Lashy! Mascara. Unlike other mascaras, so Lashy! and its unique brush transforms lashes to give you a bold look, no matter what your lash type: short, straight, sparse, or anything in between.”

“The uniquely designed, 3-zone brush combined with a wetter formula lets you experiment and customize your lash look, for dramatic results no matter your starting point.”

My review:

There are three things I am looking for when I try a mascara:

  • color of formula – this formula is nice and dark, I love that!
  • brush–  I was a little worried about this at first, I thought I was going to make a mess. But I got the hang of it pretty quickly. I like using the rounded tip for my lower lash line (easy to get product there without bumping my skin) and the shorter lashes in my inner corners. The curved sides work really for separating lashes.
  • volume and build ability– The first time I used this mascara I didn’t see much volume. But when I used it again and applied more than one coat, I did. (I have had this happen with new mascaras before, have you?) It did not clump when I applied an additional coat- major plus! I have long lashes, naturally, so I prefer when a mascara can plump them up along with accentuating their length. Sometimes, comb-like brushes tend to just pull my lashes up, but after my second time wearing this mascara I noticed it added some thickness.

Overall, I like So Lashy! mascara and would recommend you try it! Personally, I will keep using it and see what results I can create with this awesome brush. 🙂
