Makeup can be expensive, even when buying drugstore brands or items on sale, it all adds up. So, I like to save money when I can. Especially when it comes to the things I use almost every day. I like when other bloggers post lists like this beause I can compare and see what other items I can save money on or maybe find something better than what I currently use. So, I came up with my own list of most used non-makeup items that I don’t talk much about. Here are 10 drugstore beauty products that I use regularly that cost less than $10.
Drugstore Beauty Products Under $10
(Products are shown top to bottom, left to right.)
Simple Micellar Makeup Remover Wipes: ($5.99 at Target) Okay, so I’ve talked about these wipes before but I’m including them again because I think they’re really great. I use them all the time! They are perfect for removing makeup residue around the hairline, refreshing my skin or even a quick makeup brush cleaning. And they are the only wipes that I haven’t had an allergic reaction too so that’s a pretty good reason to repurchase. If you have sensitive skin-give these a try!
Burt’s Bees Lip Balm: ($3.29 at Ulta) I constantly repurchase this. Each time I buy it I get a different flavor. There’s not much to say about lip balm but I like this because it has a light scent, if any, and feels good on my lips. Plus, it’s natural!
Neutrogena Naturals Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover: ($6.99 at Target) This is the first step in my night time routine. I use it to remove makeup and then use my regular face cleanser and skin care products. I did mention it recently in this post about my skin care routine. My dermatologist always recommends Neutrogena and I’m glad I can use something in my night routine that doesn’t cost much. It works well and doesn’t leave residue on my face. Plus I like the idea of using natural ingredients on my face.
elf Shine Eraser Blotting Papers: ($1 at Target) As I’ve mentioned many times before, I have a rather oily tzone. So as the day goes on my nose and chin get pretty shiny. I’ve found that blotting and dusting with powder really helps. The package fits right in the little makeup bag in my purse. And it’s only $1 for 30 sheets!
Up & Up Firming Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer: ($5.99 at Target) I use this to help maintain my self tan. If I don’t have time to reapply self tanner this helps blend and touch up what I already have. It does build up on it’s own and gives a nice wash of color. I’ve been using light to medium which is available in store, just not online.
Ardell Brow Trim & Shape: ($3.99 at Target) My lip and eyebrow hairs don’t grow much. Even though I love how I feel after a wax, there isn’t much point in paying for a clean up. Instead I clean up both areas with these little razors. Note: When I use them on my eyebrows I only go around the outside so I don’t accidentally cut into the shape. I tweeze the rest. Waxing would last longer but this is easy and much cheaper so I can deal with doing it a little more often.
Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash: ($5.49 at Target) I used to just use this in the winter but this year I’ve been using it throughout the summer, too. My skin doesn’t feel slimy or tight after using this. And it has a very light, fresh scent that I don’t notice all day long.
Wet Brush Comb: ($4.99 at Target) I’ve had this comb for a few years now and I love it. Like the Wet Brush, it removes tangles without pulling hair. I also use it on dry hair, like 2nd day curls, and it doesn’t snag then either.
Up & Up Apricot Scrub: ($2.59 at Target) I know it’s made for your face but I actually use this for my body. Mostly my arms, chest and feet. My sister gave me the idea since I was interested in something without any sort of blemish control or salicylic acid. She uses this one which I’ve linked because I can’t find this version on Target’s website. But it is available in store! I had previously used a fabulous body polish but this scrub does the trick and is way cheaper.
St. Ives Body Lotion: ($4.99 at Target) There are several scent options that offer different benefits for skin but I tend to stick with the Nourish and Smooth with Oatmeal and Shea Butter. I really like shea butter! This never feels greasy on my skin. I’m not a big fan of fragranced body lotion but the smell isn’t an overly strong perfume smell.
Personally, I usually buy these items at Target because that’s my store of choice but there isn’t one store that has the best drugstore beauty products. You can find most of them at Walgreens or WalMart, etc. As I continue to budget and try to buy less cosmetics and skin care products it really helps to have some go-to items that I know will work but won’t cost a lot.
