Can you believe it’s 2022? I hope the year is off to a good start for you! It’s been a while since I did a post like this, but since a lot happened this past year, I thought it would be fun to do it again.
Let’s start by looking back at 2021.

Caitlin Cosmetologist rebranded to Everyday with CEA. This really was the highlight for the whole year. It was a great refresh for me and my blog and I’m really happy with how it turned out!
I also switched to a new email platform and am looking forward to sending out better-looking emails (that are also easier to create!). If you haven’t subscribed, you can do so here to get posts, product recommendations, and MORE straight to your inbox!
Last year I also invested in training, by taking courses that will help me make this little blog into more of a business.
For 2022
Apparently, it’s controversial to choose a word of the year. For me, my word of the year isn’t necessarily a goal. It’s a theme to help keep me motivated. Like when people say write down your why and keep it in mind. Last year my word was “persevere” because I was dealing with a lot of hard stuff including trauma beyond my control. I put the word in a few spots I would see on a regular basis (like a bracelet). It was a reminder that I am strong and can get through it.
This year I chose “rise” as a reminder that I overcame hard things and can excel and continue to better myself.
Last year, I persevered, and this year I rise.
Did you choose a word? Share it below if you did! It’s totally fine to not have a word of the year, too.
I have a lot of big plans for Everyday with CEA in 2022. Including opening some offers and increasing the EWC community. I’d love for you to join me over on Facebook to get FREE Beauty Education + Encouragement From Like-Minded Women!
I’ll also continue to incorporate more mental health content to help empower women to see their worth and know they are not alone. Although it’s tough to talk about, I’m learning to talk about my recent trauma and experiences with toxic positivity. I shared a reel on Instagram, a couple of weeks ago, about it.
I hope you enjoyed this review of the year as much as I did. I’m so grateful for the momentum I started in 2021, it wouldn’t have been possible without you. Here’s to a successful 2022!
