When I was working at a prestige makeup counter, I learned that Lancome was owned by L’Oreal Paris. I have always liked the brand but knowing about its high quality, I am an even bigger fan now. However, I always felt it was more expensive than other options. As my budget has grown, I have been able to try more makeup brands. Trying more brands has led me to believe that I get my money’s worth with L’Oreal. That being said, whenever there are new L’Oreal products I want to try them. Its taken me a little while to get my hands on this the L’Oreal Pro-Matte Foundation, but I finally did.
Read on to see why!
What I like about L’Oreal Pro-Matte Foundation:
- the biggest thing I was looking for in this product was lasting power. This foundation claims to last 24 hours. I’m not sure if I believe that any makeup can last that long. I was pleasantly surprised that after work the foundation was still there. Especially on my chin where it tends to just slide right off (even when set with powder).
- this foundation is a medium coverage which covers up my acne scars while creating an even look. All this without being heavy or looking thick on its own or with powder.
- the formula is a nice creamy consistency. It blends well into my skin with either a buffing brush or a makeup sponge.
- I don’t notice much of a scent which is fantastic!
Yay or Nay?
A yay for this foundation. Compared to another foundation I recently used, Pro-Matte’s staying power is fantastic. So, back to the Pro-Matte tomorrow and probably forever or until someone comes out with something that tops it. Another win for L’Oreal Paris USA!
