Tarte Recommendations

Tarte Recommendations | Caitlin Cosmetologist

Happy weekend! Tarte has had some great sales lately. Since it’s one of my favorite brands I thought I should add a quick post with my Tarte recommendations as a resource. This way you can save this post or just search “Tarte” on my blog to easily find this list if you’re shopping a sale!

One of the things I really like about Tarte is the branding and packaging – the whole vibe, really. I also really like that the products are made without several “bad ingredients” including parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, SLS and gluten. I feel better wearing them knowing they’re better for my skin. Plus they’re cruelty-free!

Poreless Mattifying Primer: I have a very oily t-zone, so a matte primer is a must for me. This one keeps oil at bay while also erasing pores and smoothing skin.

Bamboo Foundation Brush: This has been on my wishlist for a long time. I finally grabbed it during a recent sale.

Amazonian Clay Foundation: This is my favorite foundation! Read my review here. I wear the shade Fair Sand.

Shape Tape Concealer: I feel like people either love or hate this concealer.  Obviously, I love it. I wear the shade Fair-Light Neutral.

Smooth Operator Pressed Powder: This is a good powder to keep in my purse for touch-ups. Like the rest of the Amazonian Clay line, it helps balance oil.

Amazonian Clay Blush: I have the shades Paaarty and Dollface. The blush applies and lasts well.

Tartelette in Bloom Palette: Some of the shadows are a little warm for my liking but the formula is fab! Lots of people rave about this palette and how versatile it is, so it’s a good one to try!

Maneater Mascara: I love the leopard packaging! The brush helps keep lashes from clumping.

Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara: This mascara is a current favorite of mine! It’s just so good. I prefer a volumizing formula because my lashes are naturally long. This does a great job with volume, as well as lengthens, curls, and conditions lashes.

Color Splash Lipstick: I’ve seen a lot of positive reviews of this formula and the color Salt Lyfe, so I picked it up during the last sale.

Creamy Matte Lip Paint: I have the shade Birthday Suit. I typically shy away from nude shades because I don’t like how they look with my skin tone.  But, I really like this one. And the formula is creamy and comfortable.

In addition to periodic sales, there are several bloggers with discount codes, so use one of those if you can. If you use Rakuten, be sure to get your cashback!

There are also mini sizes of many of the products for sale which is perfect if you just want to try something!

Have you tried any of these products? Which are your faves?

If you’d like any more details about any of these products, feel free to comment or reach out to me via email or Instagram.
