I wanted to get this post up last week but the weather isn’t very cooperative this time of year and I couldn’t take pictures outside. But inside pictures will have to do because I really wanted to share this sweater before the holiday season starts! I saw it several weeks ago and thought it would be perfect for Turkey Day because it’s loose yet stylish with feminine touches of velvet and lace. Which seems to be my go-to Thanksgiving look- comfy but still cute. If it works why change it, right?

I’ve been calling this top a sweater but it’s actually a long sleeve blouse. However, it’s not as thin as blouses usually are. It felt like a thin sweater to me! The best part? It’s under $30! Pair it with skinnies and your favorite boots like I did here. Or wear it with black jeans and flats. I actually ordered a pair of black ankle booties but the pair that came were damaged so now I’m crossing my fingers that the new pair will be here in time to wear with this top.
This sweater could work for any of the upcoming holidays, not just Thanksgiving!
The lip color I’m wearing here is Baci. This liquid lipstick really does last! But I may wear one of these fall lip colors instead, depending how I feel that morning.

I’ll be spending Thanksgiving with family for a midday feast and then back to work on Friday. It’ll be nice to have a short work week! After Thanksgiving I’m usually ready for the Christmas season to begin so we’ll see if I start the Christmas music or wait just a little longer.
